After KABEG and the state of Carinthia got the go-ahead for over 200 “Datenpools”, the next big milestone is now set:
From 2026, the state of Carinthia will handle all projects in the Roads and Bridges Department digitally via our platform. The pilot phase will kick things off with 15 projects, including the ambitious cycle path through the Lieserschlucht gorge.
What does this mean in concrete terms?
Printed files, tedious filing, and slow communication will soon be a thing of the past. The central project platform, Datenpool, creates:
Uniform digital workflows, fast, transparent project management in real time, and significantly more efficient communication between all project participants.
The decision was made in a two-stage tendering process based on the best bidder principle. Among other things, the comprehensive range of functions offered by our Datenpool platform – from CDE standards and BIM management to the digital approval of complex planning stages – was a decisive factor.
With a planned volume of over 200 projects between 2025 and 2029 and the political backing of the state government, it is clear that digital project management is no longer a vision of the future – it is reality.
A big thank you to the state of Carinthia, to Deputy Governor Martin Gruber for his trust – and to all our colleagues behind the scenes who are making this progress possible!
